RULES & REGULATIONS FOR MISS PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY FAIR PAGEANT CONTESTANTS 1. The Miss Presque Isle County Fair Pageant will be run by a Pageant Director/committee appointed by the Presque Isle County Fair Board. All contestants will report to the Pageant Director/committee with any questions related to the pageant. 2. Contestants must live within Presque Isle County. 3. The Judge’s ruling will be final. 4. The Queen and her Court must make themselves available for appearances throughout the year of reign. These appearance commitments vary from year to year, and need to be approved by a member of the Board and the Pageant Director. The Most Important Appearance is to be at the FAIR ! 5. Contestants/Court members must be leaders, and be able to handle themselves well in public. Smoking,drinking, profanity and drug use are strictly prohibited. Public displays of affection towards boyfriends while representing the County Fair are not allowed. You will NOT be allowed to participate in any further activities associated with the Presque Isle County Fair (being Queen or Court members) if these rules are not obeyed! 6. The Board reserves the right to release the Queen/Court of her duties at any time if: a. they feel that the Queen/Court has failed to conduct themselves in a dignified manner; b. if she is convicted of a crime; c. She is chosen Queen of another pageant. 7. If the Queen is released of her duties, the 1st runner up will assume the duties of the Queen. Any Scholarship monies will be divided among the two, based on the amount of time served. 8. Scheduled practices and appearances are expected to be followed. Any absences must be excused by the Pageant Director. Promptness is appreciated. 9. During rehearsals, only contestants and those working on the pageant are allowed. NO parents, family or friends are allowed!! Thank you for your cooperation. 10. Contestants are required to provide their talent music, outfits and props and evening gowns and shoes. Opening number outfits will be provided as the budget allows, however contestants may be asked to provide their own shoes. All need to be be approved by the Pageant Director/committee. 11. Contestant and at least one parent/guardian must sign an agreement stating that they have read and understand these rules.
